Def Leppard BIO

Formed in Sheffield, England, in 1977, Def Leppard rose from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal to become one of rock's most successful bands. The group has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, with Pyromania and Hysteria among its landmark albums. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, the band is known for polished production, sing-along choruses and enduring songs including “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Hysteria” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”

The band's history also includes a remarkable story of perseverance: drummer Rick Allen continued performing after losing an arm in a 1984 car accident. Def Leppard's large-scale live shows are built around a deep catalog and arena production, creating an energetic setting for familiar rock anthems. The June 23 bill also features Goo Goo Dolls and The Struts; the event listing does not specify the running order or set times.

New York's Penn Station sits directly beneath Madison Square Garden, making the Midtown venue especially convenient for visitors arriving by train or subway. Its central location also places the show within easy reach of restaurants and other Manhattan attractions.

Venue and Seating Information

Madison Square Garden has a circular, multi-level bowl with Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level and 300 Level seating. For this concert, lower-bowl side sections near the center of the stage offer a strong balance of proximity and sightlines. Select central 200 Level seats can also provide a clear, elevated view of the full production.

Floor seats put fans closest to the stage, though views can depend on the setup and standing crowds. The 300 Level is the furthest from the performers but can be a more budget-conscious way to take in the arena atmosphere. Seats directly behind the stage or at extreme upper corners may have less favorable views, depending on the concert configuration.

Parking Information

Parking around the Garden is limited, and prices can rise on event nights. Midtown traffic and garage capacity make planning ahead especially useful for a major concert.

• Nearby commercial garages: Garages around Penn Station and 8th Avenue are typically a short walk away; event parking may cost approximately $30–$80 or more, depending on demand.
• Garages farther away: Options toward Herald Square or Chelsea may be a 10–15-minute walk and can cost around $20–$50, subject to availability and event pricing.
• Street parking: Metered spaces are scarce, restrictions are strictly enforced, and street parking is not a dependable plan for the event.

Whenever possible, reserve parking in advance and confirm current rates and restrictions with the garage. Avoid relying on last-minute parking close to the arena, where spaces may be full and prices higher.
